EARLY CAREER/STUDENT TRAVEL GRANT
The organizer of the VasCog 2018 Congress is pleased to offer at most sixteen travel grants to students in good standing or early career researchers with abstract accepted as poster or oral presentation at our upcoming congress in Hong Kong. The travel grants encourage participation by students or early career researchers who would normally find it difficult to attend.
Each award is up to HK$5,560 subject to the travel reimbursement.
ELIGIBILITY
- Student applicants must currently be a Bachelor, Masters, or PhD student. Early Career Researcher applicants must have completed their PhD within the last seven years.
- Applicants must be listed as an author and/or the presenter of an accepted poster or oral presentation
- Applicants must attend the full congress including the Pre-Congress Teaching Sessions

HOW TO APPLY
The application must include the following materials:

- Applicant’s CV
- Application Letter:
- Stating the reasons for seeking funding opportunities outside of your institution
- Stating your motivation or need to attend the conference and how the conference would benefit your research and academic development.
- A cost estimate of the trip, listing the cost of airfare, hotel, and the source of any price quote.
Payment will only be made to the award recipient as long as they submit a copy of the abstract and the expense report (with receipts) to the Congress Secretariat within 30 days after the conference.
More details will be provided to the students who are selected to receive the student travel grant award.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Applicants are selected on a competitive basis and the grants are awarded at the discretion of the organizers. Selection is based on comprehensive review of the applicant's profile, including but not limited to the quality of the accepted abstract and the financial need of the applicant.
