YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD

ELIGIBILITY

Are you a graduate or undergraduate student, a post-doctoral fellow or did you obtain your last academic degree in the last 5 years? Are you aged ≤ 40 years?

Then you can apply for the Young Investigator Award (YIA).

HOW TO APPLY

Candidates who wish to compete for this award should indicate in the appropriate place on the electronic abstract form that they wish their abstract to be considered for the Young Investigator Award.

AWARDS

Highly scored abstracts will be invited to give a talk during the Young Investigators Oral Presentations session on Thursday, 15 November, 2018, 5:30 – 7pm.

 

The best evaluated presentation (combination of abstract score and presentation score) will be awarded HK$5,000.

 

The Young Investigator’s posters will also be evaluated. The two posters that are best evaluated, will be awarded the Young Investigator poster Travel Fellowship of HK$2,500.

 

Selection for the Young Investigator Oral Presentation Award and Young Investigator Poster Presentation Award will be based on the scientific quality of the study, which will be judged by the Scientific Committee.  All awards will be announced and presented at the Closing Ceremony on 17 November 2018 at 12:30pm. The Award Winner should attend the session in person for the Award Presentation.
