The
Dermatology Research Centre was established in early 2005 and is strongly
supported by Social Hygiene Service of the Centre of Health Protection,
Department of Health. Its Main objectives are to conduct research in the
various fields of dermatology and to organize dermatology courses, conference
or symposium for the local community. Regular activities include teaching
of medical student at the University, holding a yearly CUHK Dermatology
Symposium and conducting dermatology research on a project basis. It also
runs two specialize clinics at the Prince of Wales Hospital: The Hair
and Nail Clinic and the Cutaneous Oncology Clinic. The latter is a joint
function with the Department of Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy, PWH.
The Dermatology Research Centre seeks further collaboration with other
medical subspecialties and to promote exchange with dermatologists from
other parts of the world. |
